The last game we won 3-0 against White Hart Rangers, which ended our losing run from the previous 2 games against Watchet and Minehead. The next game was away to Civil Service, which would be very hard game to get a result out of on their very small pitch. Once we arrived at their ground the Civil Service players and the ref wanted to get the game kicked of early. Civil Service only had 10 men. In the first 20 minutes we were making some silly mistakes and very nearly gave a couple of goals away. The whole team seemed to be still in the changing rooms and not on the pitch. With 25 minutes gone Matthew Washer got himself a goal from nowhere after beating the offside trap and slotting it into the bottom right hand corner and putting us 1-0 up. This seemed to be a big boost for our team and Ryan Weston got himself 2 goals within 8 minutes to put us 3-0 up and in a good position to win the game. There was another goal in the first half by Oliver Smith, which was a cross by him after making good ground down the wing and the ball somehow made itself in the back of the net to make it 4-0 at half time. The second half we seemed to take the foot of the gas and we made some silly mistakes and put ourselves under a lot of pressure. Somehow we managed to put 5 passes together and the old bold fossil Justin Lewis seemed to take 10 minutes to get to the ball and slotted it into the top right corner with 60 minutes gone and put us 5-0 up. The whole side took their foot of the gas completely and thought the game was over. Civil Service shuffled their side around to good effect and were rewarded a goal to make them 5-1 down. With 72 minutes gone Ryan Weston got himself another goal to make him the hat trick hero of the day putting us 6-1 up. With 18 minutes remaining and 6-1 up you would think it was game over however wrong we were. The whole side made mistake after mistake and the final score ended up being 6-4 how we let in 3 goals in the last 18 minutes is somewhat unbelievable. This is still 3 points and a win against Bridgwater Sports should see us win the runners up spot, because of our good goal difference.
