This week has been a really hard week for us. Pretty much we have played every other day this week and they have all been hard games. This week sees us home to Sampford Blues, we have never beaten this side as their usually our boogie side. As Sampford Blues turned up they were short and only had 10 players, their manager had to go in goal for them. The game opened up and we were all over them really in possession wise, but they had a few good chances as well but the defence as usual were not letting anything go past them. With 9 minutes in we had a corner and this year with Shawn pople and a lot of others, we have been quite lethal in the air. As Adam Kinsey took the corner Matthew Washer had his eyes in the air and volleyed it and it went miles over, but it was lovely the way he just connected to the ball, if it was lower it would have been a great goal. Another corner had arrived with 11 minutes gone and this time the old veteran, the kojack Justin Lewis decided to take it, and Justin delivered it to the back post where the Herman monster Shawn Pople was, and Shawn berried it to make the score 1-0. With 12 minutes gone the hot shot Adam Kinsey broke away and had nobody else around him, it looked like he was on his way to score, but missed as he went for a lob to lob the keeper but it didn’t happen he accidently spooned it. But 3 minutes ago Adam Kinsey completely spooned a lobbed effort at goal; however this time when Adam was away he scored a beautiful lobbed attempt at goal with 15 minutes gone. This made the score 2-0. As Sampford Blues knocked over a good ball, Nigel Cornell went to header the ball away and guess what? Got kicked in the head, he is not havin much luck with his head this season, And it looked like he had something growing on the side of his head. With 31 minutes gone Adam Kinsey came close to scoring again but hit the post with force, the score was still stood at 2-0 to us. We are playing really well now and Jason McPheat had a good chance with 33 minutes gone, Jason is playing really well this year and his record for scoring against his apperances are really good. With new comer Olie Smith starting he really needed to prove a point to the manager, and show him why he should start regulary in the side. But thats what he did he proved a point to the manager by scoring an astonishing goal. He took ran down the wing and then smashed it and the keeper had no chance this was all in the 36th minute. This made the score a fantastic 3-0. Matthew Washer came really close to scoring in the 40th minute, Washer is starting to become back on form and scoring goals again for us. The score at half time was 3-0. As the second half was just about to start the manager had a few words for the boys to build upon. With the second half just starting in the 47th minutes we conceded, it was a bit of sloppy defending. This made the score 3-1. As the game restarted in the 50th minute Shawn pople had one hell of a shot, just in front of the half way line he smashed a half volley which was curling, and just hit the crossbar. It was one hell of a shot. Adam Kinsey had a great ball knocked down to him in the 61st minute. There keeper started coming out then went back and he just got cought, on Adams right foot he lobbed the keeper but in a cross sort of way but no one was in there it was a great ball though. With 63 minutes gone Damon Jennings picked up an injury, luckily he just pulled a muscle, but he went off to be safe and his replacement was Leon Wood. In the 67th minute we played some awesome footbal and Justin Lewis scored a great goal which made the score line 4-1 to us which is a really good score line. Now the manger made a couple of substitutes they were: Christopher Organ for Nigel Cornell and Micheal Organ for Justin Lewis. These substitutions were in the 71st minute. And in the 77th minute the goal machiene Jason McPheat scored another brilliant well deserved goal, the ammount of goals Jason has scored is phenominal. This made the score 5-1. The last piece of action on the day was a brilliant goal from Christopher Organ, it was a cool and easy chipped shot goal, he was outside of the penalty area and with no one really around him took the shot on and scored this was in the 81st minute. This made the full time scorea whopping 6-1 and the Sampford Blues losing triumph ended as we finnaly beat them. This week man on the match was new boy Olie Smith. He deserved it on his first 90 minutes debut for us.
