With our last 2 games being cup games and our next 2 being the same this was a good chance for us to put 3 much needed points on the board! In a very tight 1st half we choose to play against a very strong head wind! We defended very well against a strong attack with our opponents trying to use the wind to their advantage by playing 3 up front. However we made a few chances ourselves when man of the match Damon Jennings took a quick free kick which found an unmarked Adam Kinsey who swivled and hit a low shot which came back off the post only to find a defender who cleared. We did manage to take a 1-0 lead on 32 minutes when another free kick from Adam Kinsey was met with a bullet like header from skipper Gary Head which re bounded off the post but this time found new boy Jason McPheat who headed home from close range to score his first goal for the club!. This sparked Westonzoyland to chase hard for an equalizer knowing it might be their best chance to get one wind assisted, but we defended like trojans to make sure we went into the break leading 1-0. The second half proved to be a bit easier for us but we only managed to score 2 more goals, Adam Kinsey scoring from 35 yards when he picked up the ball on the touch line, cut inside and shot which flew into the top corner of the net. Ryan Weston keeping his good goalscoring record when a well threaded ball by Leroy Oparowski broke their offside trap and found him one on one with the keeper and he slotted home well into the bottom corner to give us a 3-0 win. I must give credit to westonzoyland for the work rate they gave and never say die attitude which I feel will serve them well over the course of the season, needless to say im very pleased to of taken 6 points from them. Rafa, over and out
